Now let me ask you this. What does God have invested in you as your spiritual father? If your earthly father contributed DNA to create you, what did your Heavenly Father contribute?
Genesis 1:26 “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 27God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
We were made in the very image and likeness of God. What was it that he told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” He told Jeremiah he knew him even before he formed him. How could God know him before he existed in the flesh?
Even before he was conceived in his mother’s womb he had already been conceived as a thought in the mind of God. Our words are first formed in our mind as a thought, once the thought is conceived within our mind it can then be released either orally or in written expression. A thought is merely a thought until it is expressed. Expression of a thought by faith then causes it to manifest. In other words, we were first created in the “mind” of God. We were first conceived as a thought and then spoken into being by Jesus Christ.
Each of you has one dominant spiritual gift. It is the gift of who you are, it is a part of your spiritual DNA. It is your lifestyle or personality gift and it can not be earned, it is a gift of grace. It is bestowed upon us by our Heavenly Father. It motivates us to act in the manner that we do, therefore we call them the motivational gifts.
Our spiritual DNA also includes our other gifts, talents, passions, and character.
